DIED, at the residence of his father, in Amelia, on Wednesday, the 30th June, JAMES BENJAMIN BOTT*, in the 20th year of his age.
How mysterious and past finding out are the ways of Providence, and whilst we humbly submit to the unerring decree, we can but shed a tear of regret at the untimely death of our lamented friend.
Death, at all times and under all circumstances, is a solemn, yeah awful visitation; but much is the solemnity increased when we see the young decend to that bourne from whence no traveller returns; cut off at that tender age, when hope would point to future years of happiness and usefulness. What scene is more solemn and impressive than this? and who can remain unmoved, without feeling all the tender impathies of his heart aroused, when it sees a fond and aged father mourning the loss of a dutiful son, the stay, yea the solace, of his declining years?
He is gone! cut off in the prime of life like a flower ere it bloomed but his many virtues will ever remain fresh in the recollections of those who knew him well. His mild and gentle disposition, his nobleness of soul and gentlemanly deportment, endeared him to all who were acquainted with him. The writer of this humble tribute knew the deceased from childhood, and ca____ say he was moral in the strictest sense of the word. He was with him too, curing nearly his whole illness, and never has he seen sufferings borne with more patience and resignation. Just before his spirit took it's flight, he prayed to his God to receive him to His bosom. Doubtless, he is now an inhabitant of that realm where pain and death are strangers, and when all is peace and happiness. May God comfort his aged father!

BRAUER.-Died, yesterday afternoon, at 3:45 P. M., BARBARA DORSDHAM, beloved wife of J. Samuel Brauer; aged 33 years.

She wakes no more to earthly joy or sorrow,
No more to human hope or mortal pain;
Her weary feet have crossed the border river,
The heavenly shores of bliss beyond to gain.
Then let us yield her to His faithful keeping,
Who was her spirit's trust and refuge here,
"Asleep in Jesus," she shall only waken,
Where perfect love casteth out every fear.
Rejoice, oh, mourners, that for her is ended
The mortal agony and fierce unrest,
And that her patient spirit now reposeth
In endless rapture on the Saviour's breast.

Funeral from St. John's German Lutheran church THIS AFTERNOON at 2 o'clock. Friends and  acquaintances are invited to attend.
Baltimore papers please copy.
